Buddhism and Meditation


My interest in Buddhist Philosophy and Mindful Meditation practices began while I was living in Japan (2004-2006), which continued when I moved to London in 2007 and attended a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation group (Lelung Dharma Centre) led by Lelung Tulku Rinpoche until the end of 2009. I continue to attend regular talks and meditation groups at a number of venues across London and the UK with Sogyal Rinpoche, Thich Naht Hanh and the 14th Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso). The roots of Buddhism and Yoga are each firmly fixed in Vedanta, and hence complement each other well; and my personal practice has been enriched by drawing on both traditions.

Some of the yoga classes do integrate more aspects of pranayama (breathing exercises) and the basics of meditation and focus on awareness.

 

Over the next few months I am hoping to set up specific classes/courses to coach and guide you through the basics of Meditation & Pranayama.
